Solstice Productions is a video editing studio focussed on the creation of my AMVs and OPVs. AMV is the abbreviation for Anime Music Video. The process basically is to take footage of an anime* and make this footage work with music of your choice. The same applies to Original Promotion Video (OPV). Only here the source footage is not anime but it can be made from anything that’s on film.

I’m a very busy person and I rarely release projects. You must understand that video editing is a very tedious process and it can consume up to 25 hours of straight editing to get the end result of a 4 minute video. A lot of people that have edited themselves say that’s a huge amount of time to accomplish something like this. I must warn you that the result shows. A good video editing studio does not randomly paste scenes together! Solstice Productions emphasizes this approach and I hope my releases do show it.

Some personal history
I started working with video encoding, clipping, etc. about 7 years ago when I had a tv capturing device. The prerequisites for extensive video editing skills were then set. I only started releasing actual videos under the name of Solstice Productions 3 years ago. Solstice Productions is part of virtualjapan.net, my collection of Japan related websites.
